I went to the gym on Saturday for the first time in too long. Wore my VFFs and ran for about 2 miles on a slight incline. I felt bad for not doing 3 or 4, because that’s how much I used to manage without trouble back in the day. I kept telling myself I need to ease into it, but at the same time my calves weren’t hurting as much as I expected, so I felt a little wimpy.
Yesterday the typical aches arrived to tell me that my body was recovering, but today I find myself still limping a little due to my calves being weak. It makes me glad after all that I didn’t do the extra miles, though I still look forward to the time I can start back on them again.
